About Me |
Photography I
use a Sony F707 and F717
5 megapixel digital camera. It has been a great benefit to me, as I
can take many photos without the cost of extra developing. The F707
gives a sharp image at 2560 x 1920 pixels, which is large enough for a
clear, good sized print, and perfect for sharp web images when
resized. You can see a large showcase of my work at my Temagami
website in the photo galleries. I previously used a Sony Mavica FD-7, which
stored VGA images directly to a 3.5" floppy disk. Although it
was a nice camera, the image size was a little limited for my
purposed. The F707 allows experimentation with manual camera
settings at no film or development expense, so it's perfect for someone
wanting to get into photography. If you are looking for a good
camera for your first venture into digital photography, stop by The Sony
Store in the Northgate Square Mall in North Bay and talk to Derek or
Shawn. They'll help set you up with a quality camera best suited to
your needs. You can also check out your future perspectives at http://www.dpreview.com
which has very in-depth reviews of digital cameras, and a great place to
compare your options.
